On Sunday, July 17th, we welcomed a class of ravenous macrame enthusiasts into our back studio for a workshop taught by Maya, the mastermind behind Juniper & Fir.
From 10 to 2, the students learned macrame knotting techniques, using materials provided by Maya: cotton cord, bleached driftwood and indigo dyed ribbon. The lighting in the back is not ideal for photos, but we did our best to take some illustrative snapshots of their handiwork in progress!
Maya’s next Juniper & Fir workshop is focused on creating more macrame wall hangings- this time, shibori dyed with indigo! It will take place at the store on August 7th, from 10am to 2pm.
